Acomplia

Acomplia Review

Acomplia, is a weight loss drug developed by Sanofi, to provide pharmaceutical help for weight loss, smoking cessation and relief in metabolic syndrome. Acomplia Diet Pills contains the active ingredient Rimonabant. It is a selective CB1 endocannabinoid receptor antagonist. The diet pill Acomplia (rimonabant) was highly anticipated and was formally launched on June 28th in Britain. The United Kingdom is the first place in the world where Acomplia is being launched with roll outs expected later this year in Denmark, Ireland, Germany, Finland and Norway. The new diet drug acomplia has already generated interest among almost all obese people across the globe.

How does Acomplia work?

Wonder drug Acomplia functions by affecting the Endocannabinoid system which controls appetite and energy expenditure. It selectively blocks some receptors in the Endocannabinoid system, thus creating a better balance which in turn suppresses appetite and the longing to overeat. Although Rimonabant primarily it is for obese people, still it's usefulness for the smoking cessation also. This dual nature of drug adds to its USP. Also, in the earlier trials, it has been confirmed that it is an effective way to relinquish smoking.
